Big news from our little shop in Statesboro: starting this month, every Borowood order over $50 plants a tree.

Why a wood shop plants trees

It might sound funny for a plywood company to plant trees — but honestly, who has more reason to? Every blank we cut started as a tree. Our whole family business runs on forests being healthy fifty years from now. The math should work both ways: wood comes out, trees go back in.

How it works

Simple on purpose. Place any order over $50 — rounds, shapes, bulk packs, anything on the site. That order automatically counts toward our monthly tree tally; there's no extra cost and no checkbox to click. At the end of each month, we donate one tree for every qualifying order to reforestation efforts through the One Tree Planted program.

What that adds up to

Based on the orders you all placed last month, that's roughly 60 trees a month — over 700 trees a year — planted because crafters chose a small Georgia shop over a big-box store. Your door hangers have roots now.

Why $50?

Fifty dollars is about the size of a real project order — a maker stocking up for a weekend of door hangers, a 10-pack of 18-inch rounds, a 5-pack of half-inch. We wanted the program tied to the orders that keep our shop — and yours — running.
