We Planted 74 Trees in July — Thanks to You

First tally of the month, and it's a good one: 74 trees.

Here's how it works, for anyone new around here. Every Borowood order over $50 plants a tree through One Tree Planted. We count up the qualifying orders at the end of each month and send the donation — one dollar, one tree. Simple as that.

The July numbers

In July, 91 of you ordered blanks from our shop in Statesboro, and 74 of those orders — about 8 out of every 10 — crossed the $50 mark and planted a tree. That's 74 trees going into reforestation projects because door hanger makers, laser engravers, and craft fair sellers chose birch blanks for their next project.

We started this program because it fits who we are. We cut wood for a living — birch plywood, every single day — and it never sat quite right to take from the forest without giving something back. One Tree Planted made it easy: they work with reforestation partners around the world, planting native species where fires, floods, and logging have taken the biggest bite.

July was pumpkin month

No surprise to anyone who follows our blog: July's orders were heavy on fall prep. Pumpkin blanks, 18" rounds for Halloween door hangers, and bulk packs from sellers stocking up for September markets. It makes us smile that a wave of pumpkin door hangers just planted a small grove.

August, let's beat it

74 is our number to beat. If you're planning your fall line — and if you sell, you should be painting fall right now — a 12-pack of 15" rounds or any restock over $50 adds one more tree to the August count. Same wood, same free shipping over $250, one more tree in the ground.

Thank you for making a small family shop part of something bigger. We'll report back on August's tally on the first of the month, same as always.
